Is anyone else “surprised” that The Mercury, on its web site, has a photo of Mrs. Weand and Mrs. Pargeon with the caption “Negative Energy” underneath them? The Mercury has no shame. Its editors will go to the ends of the earth to taint anyone and anything that questions the wisdom of Tom The-Second-Coming Hylton. Can it be that they have lost ALL sense of journalistic self-respect? Honestly, I’m beginning to feel sorry for them. It can’t feel very good to be in their skin. Then again, they have free will.
Well, in all fairness to the Mercury, the remarks of Mrs. Weand and Mrs. Pargeon were indeed both negative an energetic. That’s certainly not to say that they were wrong and Hylton was right. When Hylton pushes his own life-long agenda on our School District and the students of our town, just because he can, obviously not caring much about the ultimate results for either, it is extremely difficult for caring people not to energetically express negativity toward his actions.
What the sensible people on the Board need to do is to fight Mr. Hylton and his minions on Hylton’s own terms… refuting what he says with positive facts and rational arguments, rather than “negative energy”.
I agree!!
The way to put out the fire is to deprive it of oxygen. Obviously, Mr. Hylton and his so-called plan (beyond windows and heating/cooling systems we still don’t know what he’s cooking in his brain) are the fire and his plan thrives on the ‘facts’ he presents (facts being the oxygen) and to take away or counter the validity of the facts he presents IS the way to go!
He believes he has sound information and he does BUT it is only to serve his means to an end (what end, though?). To bring about a change in direction an arguement must be made for another alternative as friend of pottstown so wisely suggests!!
friend of pottstown…as always, EXCELLENT thoughts!!
