Committee of the Whole Meeting Alert!

POTTSTOWN, PA – Just a reminder folks that this Thursday at 7:30 p.m. is the monthly Pottstown School Board Committee of the Whole meeting.  The meeting will take place in the Auditorium of the Pottstown Middle School, located at 600 North Franklin Street.

Here is the agenda for Thursday’s meeting:

Yesterday’s Mercury contained a legal notice indicating that there will be a public budget hearing during tomorrow’s meeting, but it is not indicated on the agenda.

Anyone who had the opportunity a few weeks ago to see the Dancing with the Pottstown Stars event knows what an awesome success it was ($52,000+) – and it all benefits our children.  It’s unfortunate that only one member of the board attended the event.  Terri Lampe, the Executive Director of the Foundation for Pottstown Education, is scheduled to make a presentation to the board at Thursday night’s meeting.

Remember that your school board members serve you…the taxpayer.

Please make every effort to attend the meeting, especially now that public comment is allowed during the COTW meeting.
