Borough Council Meeting Alert!
POTTSTOWN, PA – Wednesday night, September 8, is the Pottstown Borough Council Committee of the Whole meeting. The meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. and is held at Pottstown Borough Hall, 100 East High Street, 3rd floor, Council Meeting Room.
According to the agenda posted on the Borough website, there is a TON of items being addressed. Most notably, a presentation by The Partnership for Income Restricted Housing Leadership (PIRHL), a Cleveland, Ohio-based owner, developer and general contractor of affordable single family and multifamily housing, on their proposal to build 55 low income rental housing units for seniors along the Schuylkill River in Pottstown. A topic that has been generating a lot of conversation throughout the Pottstown blogosphere (but don’t bother looking in The Mercury for articles on the proposal…the Pottstown-based paper simply can’t be bothered with those trite Pottstown news stories).
Also on the agenda, Kurt Zwikl, Executive Director of the Schuylkill River Heritage Area, will be giving a trails presentation. There will be discussions on codes, an update on the Rental License project…and our personal favorite…the Shade Tree Commission.
Here is the agenda for Wednesday night’s meeting:
Pottstown Borough Council COTW Agenda 090810
And remember…while the COTW meeting is a public meeting…the public is not permitted to address Council. So…take good notes and then you can address Council at Monday night’s regular meeting.
See you there!

I’m surprised! There hasn’t been any advertorials lately. TH is laying low.
