What Stinks?

POTTSTOWN, PA – Hello folks…is this thing working?

After receiving countless correspondence from our loyal readers and shedding many tears over the injustices that have become far too commonplace in our fair town over the past year, we have decided to rev up the SavePottstown!! engines in order to be the change we want to see in Pottstown.

We have been following our good friends over at Golden Cockroach and what we’ve read has caused us many sorrows.

Another highly disturbing development in Pottstown that brought us out of retirement was last month’s appointment of Pottstown Police Chief Mark Flanders to the post of Borough Manager. The whole issue is disturbing on many, many levels. We’re not sure which has us more incensed…the actual hiring of an individual who has zero borough government management experience or the really disturbing fact that he loaded his council appointment meeting audience with plain clothed police officers or the really, really disturbing fact that borough council voted unanimously to hire Flanders.

Oh…and there’s also that little tidbit about wanna-be governor and Montgomery County Commissioner Bruce Castor legally representing Flanders and warning that, “the monetary damages to which you would be subject could be considerable” if Flanders were to be overlooked for the Borough Manager post.

Folks…this whole deal (and many others) stinks to high heaven. If you’re not totally fuming by the events that have transpired in Pottstown over the past few months…you’re not paying attention.

If you have any information on the corruption and injustices that have occurred in Pottstown over the past year (or further back), please contact us with your documented facts. We have heard several allegations about the goings on in borough hall that would make Jack Abramoff blush. If true, we will publish your information on this site. All of your documentation and information will be held in the strictest of confidence.

We are here as part of the solution…not part of the problem. We want to expose the wrongdoing that has damaged Pottstown and kick the turds to the curb.
